Hollow Winter

Empty chairs,
Those that look through the windows
Waiting for a simple reallocate,
That perhaps will never happen.

Clear windows,
Those mindful of their task,
And even though they can’t hide their eyes,
Someone always keeps them warm after twilight.

Hidden sun behind the trees,
The one whose sons were forgotten
In a cold vacuum,
That only the strongest foreign travelers can reach.

Enlightened trees,
Sharing their everyday wisdom,
Not only with me,
But never without you.

The sugar tempest perseveres,
Doesn't let go the pride
That so many took the courage to embrace.

It’s out of sight,
Someone already dimmed the lights,
It’s getting closer,
We’re out of life.
